The process started with heavy interaction with the client on the type of video they were after and what messages they wanted to get across. Due to the nature of the public location, permission had to be obtained from the owner of the Snow Centre and a strict schedule had to be adhered to.
A main interview with director and instructor Richard Fetherston provides the basis for the messages and with supporting B-roll taken of the indoor centre and the classes.
The additional challenges of this shoot involved dealing with the cold climate of an indoor ski centre where equipment (and cold hands) would not be at their optimum efficiency.
