The Challenge

The British Contract Furnishing Association (BCFA) turned to Intergage to find a solution to help promote their news articles and other features posted to their website.

Despite posting quality, new, content several times a week, they did not think that their articles were not getting enough traffic and attention from their target market. Articles were also difficult to share and navigate between, and to address this we were asked to move them to a new blog style website.

The Process & Result

Our design process started by looking at content categorisation. In order to keep the quantity of the posts organised, key categories were devised with custom iconography to represent them. Wire-framing and prototyping was used to obtain an optimum layout to allow for ease of navigation between the articles at all screen resolutions

Our design meets a key requirement of Design Insider to use the power of high quality imagery to pull viewers into their posts. This is then backed up with a simple layout that does not divert the reader's attention away from the post itself. Social media sharing options feature to assist with promotion, whilst key information such as author biographies, "similar post" carousels and tagging systems provide additional content from a trusted, authoritative voice for viewers to browse.

As a result the BCFA now has a new platform in which to promote their services by providing the interior design community the ability to showcase and engage on commercial interior designs.
